I LOVE Corpus Christi Texas.
We spent a day in Corpus Christi. A city on an inlet of The Gulf of Mexico.
BEAUTIFUL and so many things to see and do!
We walked the boardwalk, stayed downtown, and had dinner at a local restaurant.
Waters Street Oyster Market. Locals hang out.....so yummy!
A must see is the USS Lexington
This is a must-see when you visit Corpus Christi!
It is the world's oldest aircraft carrier turned into a naval aviation museum, Points of interest on deck are take-off and landing control stations and arresting gear, anti-aircraft gun mounts, and vintage aircraft. (my Pilot husband loved it!!)
For all you fans of Whataburger, the first one was located in on the waterfront of Corpus Christi. The first Whataburger was sold through the window of a portable building on August 8, 1950. The location for Whataburger #1 was 2609 Ayers Street, across from Del Mar College, in Corpus Christi. The price of the burger was twenty-five cents.
The Texas State Aquarium has exhibits from species in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. https://www.texasstateaquarium.org/

The Selena Museum was built by the Quintanilla family to celebrate the life and achievements of their beloved daughter for Selena fans. The Selena Museum is a must-see in Corpus Christi for fans and for anyone who would like to know about this young singer and her life.
Not far from Corpus Christi is South Padre Island. It is a resort town on a barrier island of the same name, off the southern coast of Texas. It’s known for its beaches and calm waters. South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center is home to a 5-story watchtower with views of migrating birds. The South Padre Island Dolphin Research & Sealife Nature Center offers boat tours and touch tanks. Sea turtles are rescued and rehabilitated at Sea Turtle Inc.https://www.sopadre.com/
