Where should I Visit? | Sioux Falls South Dakota

Updated: Apr 14, 2023

My husband and I traveled to Sioux Falls South Dakota over Memorial Day Weekend.

Great place to visit!! It has an awesome downtown, big brick buildings, trolly service, great shops and restaurants. So much to choose from and yet It still has that small town feel.

There’s the SculptureWalk exhibit of locally-crafted sculptures that are on display year-round in downtown Sioux Falls,

There’s the Washington Pavillion. educational and entertainment center that has multiple museums, a performing arts center, and cinema.

Falls Park. This 123 acre park features their namesake waterfalls, in which 7,400 gallons of water drop 100 feet over the falls every second. That’s a lot of water!! Native Americans were the first to discover the falls. They have been a landmark to the city since its founding in 1856.

There is a National Historic Landmark that features an 1893 clock tower, restored courtroom and law library, with 16 wall murals painted from 1915 to 1917.

The Old Courthouse Museum, featuring hand-crafted gifts, regional history and exhibits. A free Museum in the heart of downtown.

Not far from our hotel in downtown was found Japanese Gardens and walking paths that went on for miles. What an amazing find. Great place for a walk and pictures!

We also visited the Veteran Memorial park and gardens. So impressed with the tribute to Veterans from South Dakota.
