Next time you are leaving the USA, you may be using Facial Recognition when you board the flight. It is a Customs and Border Patrol System. It matches your passport picture with your facial features. It is very quick and easy to use.
It is really impressive and the future of boarding flights. You step up to a monitor and it analyzes your face and gives you a green light to board (if everything matches).
You can opt out by advising the gate agent working the flight.
The are being installed at hub airports all over the United States.
As a gate agent, I have used it to board international flights, and it works really well.
