Where Should I Go? Santa Barbra California

Updated: Mar 17, 2023

Santa Barbara is a city in central California on the coast, it has the Santa Ynez Mountains dropping down to the beach. The buildings are Spanish-style white stucco with red-tile roofs. Upscale boutiques and restaurants offering local wines and seasonal fare line State Street. AMAZING!

On a nearby hill, Mission Santa Barbara, founded in 1786, houses Franciscan friars and a museum. Did not visit there, wish I had more time!

The 1929 courthouse features red tile floors and roof. It has murals depicting local history. Its 85-ft. clock tower offers ocean views. It is open to the public to walk up and take in the panoramic view. Bring a good camera, what a beautiful sight!

Santa Barbara Museum of Art specializes in works by 19th- and 20th-century American and French painters, including Monet.

Stearns Wharf, is a waterfront shopping and dining area, bike paths and fishing on the pier. You can watch the sailing club practice in the Pacific ocean.

Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is something to see as well. NEXT VISIT!
