Looking for a great place to learn about our Nation's History? Williamsburg Virginia is that place. Colonial Williamsburg founded in 1632 as a fortified settlement between the James and York rivers. The city served as the capital of the Colony and Commonwealth of Virginia from 1699 to 1780 and was the center of political events in Virginia leading the American Revolution. The College of William and Mary, established in 1693, is the second-oldest institution of higher education in the United States.
Colonial Williamsburg has a restored Historic Area, and with Jamestown and Yorktown they form the "Historic Triangle". It features actors dressed in period garb with operating shops, restaurants and government buildings that brings Colonial Williamsburg to life. If you enjoy American History, this is the place to visit.
Also, so many other attractions nearby. Busch Gardens is a wonderful Amusement park. I really like to visit at Christmas, so beautiful! So many things to see and do.
A MUST SEE in our beautiful Country!
Enjoy the Journey
